Certified National Drug & Alcohol Interventionists

In the United States, 1 in 4 deaths can be attributed to alcohol, tobacco, or illicit drug use. More than 75% of domestic violence victims report that their assailant had been drinking or using illicit drugs at the time of the incident.

These are sobering statistics that affect society as a whole. But they only touch the surface of the personal devastation suffered by the families that love the substance abuser. Nobody remains unscathed. Drug and alcohol abuse touches every aspect of every relationship causing pain to parents, spouses and children. It creates dysfunction where, in order for the family unit to work, all other family members must sacrifice themselves – and everyone loses.
